What is the deadline for submitting spots? When you read this, we shall have already fired the starting gun for the NotodoPubliFest. This means that, unless you couldn't hear it, you can begin to send us as many spots as you want and participate in our advertising festival. Of course, as life shows, everything comes to an end. The deadline for receiving entries for the NotodoPubliFest is 12.00 midnight on Thursday, 15 April 2004. We'll never tire of repeating this: plan ahead and don't wait until the last minute to submit your spot/s. Remember that if you need to correct any error for any reason, having a few extra days will make things easier both for you and for us and prevent unnecessary tantrums and hysteria. What happens when we receive your spot? Once you have filled out the form and sent us your spot/s by e-mail, we shall check to make sure everything is in order. Don't worry, because if something is wrong we'll let you know as soon as possible so you can correct it. Progressively, and by strict order of receipt, the spots will pass a preliminary filter: the NotodoPubliFest Selection Committee. Members of this committee will regularly view all spots and approve them before they are placed in each brand's Projection Room. Once the deadline is reached, this same committee will also decide which spots are selected to take part in the contest and opt for the Jury and Audience Prizes. Logically, the works selected will be placed in the section called Selected Spots while the jury makes their deliberations and the audience votes for their favourite. The rest of the spots can also be viewed in each Projection Room. Your spot was selected. What happens now? In addition to making your parents, grandparents and the rest of your near and dear very happy, just for having been selected you will receive two invitations to the NotodoPubliFest.com Award Ceremony. We'll be giving you more details closer to the date of this ceremony.
The names of those selected will be published on the Festival website, and we shall send these spots to jury members immediately so they can decide which are the best in their opinion. Remember, they are in charge of awarding two very important Festival prizes:
- Jury Grand Prize for the Best Spot: €15,000. - Jury Prize for the Best Spot per Brand: €6,000 each (not Jury Grand Prize).
The audience carries its own weight when it comes to distributing the monies, because they have the last word on another two prizes:
- Audience Prize for the Best Spot: €3,000. - The "It's Not My Fault. Making an ad isn't all that easy" Audience Prize: €1,500.
The "It's Not My Fault" Prize is given in recognition of the "courage" of the author of the festival spot showing the least inhibition, good taste and/or fear of ridicule. Of course, the winner of this prize has the right to refuse it in favour of the first runner-up and so on successively until someone finally decides to accept it.
When the time comes, we shall set a deadline for voting on our website or via mobile phone or Digital+. Meanwhile, keep encouraging your friends and family to vote for your spot.
To wind up, we would only remind you that if a brand likes your spot and decides to purchase your idea, you could also collect an additional €9,000 prize. |
